Welcome to our Digital Creativity Self-Assessment Tool!
Our self-assessment tool is based on an adoption of the Digital Competence Framework for Citizens (DigComp 2.1), responding to the digital skill gaps among the European citizens and among the already digitally intensive sectors of education, training, and creative industries, further increased by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The tool offers a progression model to help creatives and citizens assess and develop their digital competence. It outlines eight different stages through which your digital competence typically develops, to help you identify and decide on the specific steps to boost your competence where needed.
At the first two stages, Foundation (1&2), creatives are able to complete simple tasks, autonomously and with guidance where needed; at the following two stages, Intermediate (3&4), they are able to complete well-defined and routine tasks, and resolve straightforward problems, independently and according to their needs; furthermore, at the Advanced (5&6) stages, creatives are able to address different tasks and problems, guiding others in a complex context; at the highest stages – Highly specialised (7&8), they are able to resolve complex problems with many interacting factors, as well as to propose new ideas and processes to the field.
The five competence areas focus on different aspects of digital competences:
- Competence area 1: Information & Data Literacy
- Competence area 2: Communication and collaboration
- Competence area 3: Digital content creation
- Competence area 4: Digital Citizenship
- Competence area 5: Problem solving
To achieve better understanding and gain more quality from your self-assessment, at the end of the test you will receive an overview explaining what each competence area involves and suggestions how to improve your skill gaps.
